Cow Manure Fertilizes Rhubarb Well
Feed rhubarb manure and more manure again if you want a good crop.
Twenty years ago I was in the 100 Mile House area of British Columbia, and I got some rhubarb plants, and I also got some unsolicited advice.
"Hey, you want good rhubarb - pour the manure to it. Rhubarb loves manure."
Well. I got some horse manure and gave it a whirl. Later I heard that cow manure is even better. And, manure loves urine stoked straw from the barn. All the good stuff.
So, enjoy, take the plunge.
Rhubarb is great, and when I was a kid, 65 years ago, we used to get it as a treat with brown sugar. After-all, it's the first fruit of the season, and it is so good for you.
I love the rhubarb recipes on this hit, they are really good.

Interesting point about the different types of manure. Thanks Alvin, good to know.
